Pope Francis after a trip to the café: Next time to the pizzeria

Francis (87), a pope with a penchant for little extra trips, is amused by his detour to a Luxembourg espresso bar. "I was joking about the bar. The next one is going to a pizzeria," he said on Sunday on the flight back to Rome from his trip to Luxembourg and Belgium.

On Thursday, the Pope briefly interrupted his official programme in Luxembourg to drink an espresso in a bar and chat a little - to the astonishment of the owner and guests. He then continued his programme in the nearby cathedral. The Holy Father was given the coffee cup as a memento. (KNA)
