Beatification process for Marco Gallo, who died at 17

Chiavari - After Carlo Acutis, another deceased teenager could soon be beatified: Marco Gallo was from Rapallo in Liguria, and since his death, the tradition of a pilgrimage has been established.

Marco Gallo, who died at the age of 17, could soon be beatified. According to the Italian "Teleradiopace", the person responsible for the beatification process, Father Andrea Mandonico, announced on All Saints' Day in Rapallo in Liguria (near Genoa) that the beatification process has been initiated.

As the online medium reports, the tradition of a pilgrimage to the pilgrimage church of Montallegro (Rapallo) has been established since Gallo's death on 5 November 2011. On All Saints' Day, Gallo's friends and family organised an annual pilgrimage with the celebration of a Holy Mass. This year, many young people once again came to the Eucharistic celebration led by Bishop Giampio Luigi Devasini (Chiavari) to remember Marco Gallo. (KNA)
